SHOULD NEVADA BAN COYOTE HUNT CONTESTS? — There’s a coyote hunting derby this Saturday in Austin, Nevada, and a coyote conservation organization against these kinds of hunting contests will be in town to talk with locals about why we shouldn’t allow them. Project Coyote’s Camilla Fox will be at the Nevada Humane Society on Friday, 6:30-8:30 PM, to talk about coyotes, the hunt’s effect on wild canines, and how the hunts should be banned. Last year her group succeeded in banning coyote hunt contests in California, the first state in the union to do so.
