WATCH FOR TAHOE PRESCRIBED BURNS — The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit has begun prescribed fire operations on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe in Christmas Valley near Meyers. Operations may take place near Grass Lake Road near Highway 89 South, and may continue over the next several weeks as conditions allow. The Tahoe Fire and Fuels Team will give as much advance notice as possible before burning, but some operations may be conducted on short notice.
