The board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development voted Thursday to approve 30 million dollars in tax incentives for online seller eBay. That will help with planned data centers in Las Vegas and in Storey County. eBay plans to invest $412 million in new capital to make it happen. The company also plans to add more than 50 employees in Nevada. Gov. Brian Sandoval, who chairs the commision, says attracting the company to Nevada was like getting LeBron James on the team.
