The last few years of drought have been catastrophic for Nevada farmers who have received less and less water each consecutive year. But now there is a change in their luck. The Truckee-Carson Irrigation District board has decided that farmers will get a minimum of a 70% allocation this year. TCID District Manager, Rusty Jardine, says in a normal year, a 70% water allocation would be a letdown, but farmers have only received a fraction of that in the last few years. Water deliveries begin Monday.
