Three people have been arrested and two more are being sought, in connection with a widespread retail theft ring in Washoe County. The Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program team initiated an investigation into the ring. Police say the five suspects, working together, were involved in fraudulent bar code scanning to get cash or store credit while returning merchandise. The crew targeted numerous Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart stores throughout Washoe County. 51 year old James Hotta is pending sentencing for other felony cases, and has now been booked for 3 counts of Burglary, 3 counts of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses, and 3 counts of Conspiracy. Also in custody are 41 year-old Michael Raymundo , and 37 year old Leslie Fernandez.
