A Reno man faces up to 27 years in prison when he is sentenced in June 21, on domestic violence, after the beating his then girlfriend last Christmas Day. 36 year old David Jay Diaz slammed her head against the wall, strangled her, threatened to kill her, threw her cell phone against the wall and prevented her from leaving a room,  and also threatened her with a bat, according to Washoe County prosecutors.
