Apple to Invest More Money in Reno

Apple wants to own the land in downtown Reno they’ll be building on, and went to the Reno City Council to announce a change in plans.  Apple’s Government Affairs Director Matt Foulkes says they’ll double their investments in the Reno Technology Park by another billion dollars, and plan to build in the downtown area.  Apple expects their growing Reno presence to continue to be a catalyst to bring more tech companies to the region. The council approved the requests to add tax incentives as part of the new project. Foulks also said Apple would have a continuous stream of construction projects in the area to help avoid the boom and bust of construction jobs.
