The Minerva Fire, the latest to send smoke into Northern Nevada, has burned 1,000 acres since starting the morning of July 29th. The fire was 10% contained as of Monday morning, according to the US Forest Service. Air support is helping fire crews battling the Minerva Fire, southwest of Quincy. There are no evacuations and no word yet on a cause. As of Monday afternoon, the air quality in the Truckee Meadows is now, “Unhealthy for sensitive groups,” again.
