(KOH) – Reno police responded to a domestic disturbance with shots fired, yesterday afternoon at about 2:15 p.m. Witnesses reported a disturbance in a room at the Gatekeeper Inn on W 5th Street. The motel was evacuated and SWAT and hostage negotiators were called to the scene. 34-year-old Bryana Rodriguez had attempted to shoot the victim, then struck him in the head with a golf club. Injures were non-life threatening and the suspect was booked on attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and 3 counts of child endangerment. The children are in protective custody with CPS.
