Progress is being made on the Beckwourth Fire Complex northwest of Reno, as residents of Washoe County were allowed to return home, as evacuation orders on the Nevada side were lifted. The fire has burned nearly 92 thousand acres, and has caused significant damages to homes in Doyle, Ca. At least six injuries related to the fire have been reported. Containment has grown to 26%. The fires were started by lightning strikes. Evacuation orders remain in effect in Lassen County west of U.S. 395 between County Road A25 and the Lassen-Sierra county line. The Beckwourth complex is California’s largest wildfire of the season so far.
