[KOH] After a 12-hour meeting Wednesday, and on a party-line vote, Nevada’s Interim Finance Committee put the kibosh on Gov. Lombardo’s attempt to resuscitate the Opportunity Scholarship program. He proposed using unallocated federal COVID funds to make up the gap created by the Democratic-controlled legislature.
In a statement, Lombardo said, “In an act of callous partisanship, today Democrats turned their backs on hundreds of low-income students that our traditional school system has failed or left behind.”
