The City of Sparks has passed an ordinance intended to reduce the effect of the homeless on the rest of Sparks citizens.

Sparks City Attorney Wes Duncan says that fires will be prohibited without a permit, and camping will be banned within 1,000 feet of the Truckee River corridor.
