Nevada-Osha Proposes Fine For Reno-Sparks Convention And Visitors Authority

An investigation showed they didn’t offer proper training. Nevada-OSHA is proposing a more than 140-thousand-dollar fine to the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority. This comes after the death of a worker in late January. The man was removing temporary electrical cable drops after a hot tub sale, when he fell 34-feet through a ceiling to a concrete floor. The man was not properly trained on fall protection, nor on how to use a scissor lift or boom lift. Nevada OSHA has hit the RSCVA with ten serious violations.
