Carson Crews Knock Out Two Fires

The Carson City Fire Department put out two fires Thursday afternoon. The first happened around 1 p.m. crews responded to a 10-foot by 10-foot brush fire on Shonone Street. Then about three hours later and a few blocks away, Carson crews knocked out a fire in the area of Curry and Betts Streets. A travel Trailer caught fire in the backyard of a home. The trailer was destroyed but crews were able to prevent the fire from damaging any nearby homes.
