The Reno Police Department Traffic Division conducted a Pedestrian Safety Operation from August 24th through August 31st. Five officers conducted the operation within the downtown area. Police focused their efforts on both drivers and pedestrians. Officers issued 65 traffic citations, gave 41 warnings, and made two misdemeanor arrests, including one for DUI.
