Nevada Gets an “F” for Gerrymandering

[KOH] A nonpartisan study is giving Nevada’s new congressional map the lowest grade possible. The Princeton Gerrymandering Project gives the map an “F” for gerrymandering — saying it lends a significant partisan advantage to Democrats. Gerrymandering is manipulating political boundaries to favor one party or class.

Nevada state government largely leans Democratic, with a Democratic supermajority in the state assembly and one seat short of a supermajority in the state senate. Democrats are trying to gain another state senate seat to counter the veto power of Republican Governor Joe Lombardo.
