A two-acre brush fire in Sparks closed a portion of Wedekind Road for a few hours on Wednesday. Wedekind was shut down in both directions between El Rancho Drive and Sullivan Lane. Sparks Fire and Police were called to the scene. The cause is under investigation. There were no injuries.
