Sleeping On Public Property Now a Misdemeanor Crime in Sparks

(Sparks, NV) — Sleeping on public property is now a misdemeanor crime in Sparks. That’s after the Sparks City Council brought back an ordinance this week. It applies to people caught sleeping on sidewalks, or in a car, on public property. The ACLU of Nevada has spoken out against the ordinance. Other opponents say it unfairly punishes homeless people with nowhere else to go.
