The Sparks Police Department has identified a suspect in a fatal shooting Monday in Sparks. Police have a warrant to arrest 30-year-old Alfredo “Freddy” Ibarra, on an open murder charge. Police have also identified the shooting victim as 28-year-old Ricardo Fabian Padilla of Sparks. On Monday night, just before 11:30, police were called East Greenbrae Drive and Driftwood Drive after their ShotSpotter system alerted them of gunfire. Police found Padilla unresponsive in a vehicle. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, and Padilla was declared dead at the scene.
