(Caliente, NV) — The Bureau of Land Management says 382 horses have been removed from federal land near Caliente. Rather than using helicopters, officials used hay and water to lure the horses, and B-L-M officials say the goal is to reduce the horses’ risk of thirst and starvation. The horses will be sent to off-range corrals.
