NV Minimum Wage Climbs

(Carson City, NV) — Minimum wage in Nevada has been raised to 12-dollars-an-hour. Previously, the minimum wage in the state was eleven-dollars and 25-cents an hour, and could be lowered to ten-dollars and 25-cents an hour if an employer offered health benefits. The new law took effect on Monday following arguments that people working in Nevada shouldn’t be paid less just because they’re provided health benefits.
