(Reno, NV) — Washoe County fire crews responded to a brush fire at Galena Creek Park Monday morning. The fire ignited near the visitor’s center and was relatively small, and firefighters were able to get it under control quickly. Only one-tenth of an acre of land was burned. Fire officials say hikers spotted the fire early and called it in, allowing for a quick response time.
