Political violence like this is an attack on our democracy and must never be tolerated. I’m grateful former President Trump is safe and my thoughts are with all those affected. Thank you to the law enforcement and first responders who were on the scene.

I’m keeping former President Trump and all those attending his rally in my thoughts. I condemn this despicable act of political violence in the strongest possible terms. I’ll continue monitoring the situation as we learn more.

Donna and I thank God that former President Trump is safe and unharmed after being shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania. We are waiting for more information from the Secret Service. In the meantime, we are praying for calm and civility around the country. As we learn more information about today’s horrific shooting, Donna and I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the rally attendee who was killed. We also thank Secret Service and law enforcement for their swift and decisive action, which prevented further violence. We will continue to pray for President Trump and all of those impacted by this despicable attack.
