Tuesday’s decision overturned the commission’s controversial and unprecedented decision from last week. There had been doubts about inconsistencies in the methods of the recount, with two commissioners calling for the recount to be done by hand. The contested elections were for a county commission seat and a school board trustee seat. The Nevada Secretary of State and Attorney General’s offices had been threatening legal action against Washoe County.
