Air Quality Emergency Issued For Northern Nevada

(Reno, NV) — A stage one air quality emergency is in place for Northern Nevada due to the massive Park Fire burning in Northern California. The week-old fire has burned nearly 387-thousand acres of land, making it the fifth largest wildfire in California’s history. Northern Nevada Public Health says smoke from the fire could make air quality reach unhealthy levels at times throughout the day. Smoke began drifting into the region last night and is expected to linger through at least tomorrow morning.
