(Las Vegas, NV) — A former Nevada Democratic official convicted of killing a journalist will spend at least 28 years in prison. Former Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles was found guilty in August for the murder of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German over articles about him. A jury sentenced him to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 20 years. On Wednesday, a judge added eight years to the minimum time behind bars. Telles’ lawyer has said he plans to appeal the conviction.
