19K+ Voters Head to Polls Early in Washoe County

(Reno, NV) — More than 19-thousand registered voters cast a ballot in Washoe County on Saturday, which was the first day of early voting. Election officials say more than 83-hundred of those voters are registered Democrats, about 59-hundred are registered Republicans and more than 49-hundred are classified as “other.” That means they have no party preference or are affiliated with another party. Washoe County has nearly 330-thousand registered voters, putting the turnout so far at about six percent. The majority are registered Republicans.
