More Than a Dozen Arrested in Reno Child Sex Sting

(Reno, NV) — 13 people have been arrested on a number of child sex crime charges following an operation by the Reno Police Department’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit.

The two-day operation, which was conducted on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17, was conducted at a place the Sparks Police Department identified only as a “local lodging establishment” as part of efforts to combat alleged crimes related to child sexual exploitation.

13 adults were arrested for allegedly attempting to engage in sexual activity with a person they believed was a juvenile.

The following people were arrested:

  • Cory Jones on charges of: Attempted Sex Assault of a Minor (x2), Attempted Lewdness of a Minor (x2), Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Assault of Minor under 14 (x2).
  • Jeremy Segura on charges of: Attempted Stat Sexual Seduction, Luring a Child with the Use of a Computer to Engage in Sexual Conduct, Attempted Child Abuse for Sexual Exploitation, Attempted Use of a Minor for Sexual Portrayal, Attempted Kidnapping
  • Maxwell Henderson on charges of: Attempted Stat Sexual Seduction, Luring a Child with the Use of a Computer to Engage in Sexual Conduct, Attempted Child Abuse for Sexual Exploitation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, FTA Warrant
  • Janoy Rayson on charges of: Attempted Stat Sexual Seduction, Luring a Child with the Use of a Computer to Engage in Sexual Conduct, Attempted Child Abuse for Sexual Exploitation, Attempted Use of a Minor for Sexual Portrayal
  • Christopher Rippee on charges of: Attempted Stat Sexual Seduction, Luring a Child with the Use of a Computer to Engage in Sexual Conduct, Attempted Child Abuse for Sexual Exploitation
