Nevada U.S. Attorney Nominated By Biden Will Step Down Before Trump’s Inauguration

(Las Vegas, NV) — Nevada U.S. Attorney Jason Frierson, who was nominated by President Biden, will step down before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Frierson, a Democrat, will step down on January 17th, three days before Trump starts his second term as president. Frierson is the first Black man to serve as Nevada U.S. Attorney. He is also a former speaker of the Nevada Assembly, prosecutor and public defender. Biden nominated Frierson in late 2021. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in April of 2022.
