(Carson City, NV) — A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting shortly after the start of the new year in Carson City. The incident started at about 10:30 Tuesday night, as a domestic dispute involving threats. The suspect and deputies exchanged gunfire shortly before midnight, then the suspect barricaded himself inside a truck. Deputies tried to negotiate with him for about 20 minutes. Then, he got out of the truck and started shooting again. That’s when he was shot and killed by deputies. Five deputies and two sergeants are on administrative leave following the shooting.
