(Carson City, NV) — Governor Joe Lombardo’s 2025 State of the State Address is in the books. Lombardo announced several significant proposals on Wednesday night, including permanent pay raises for teachers, investing a billion dollars in new housing and getting tougher on crime. He also called for unity in a divided state government. Democrats still hold majorities in both the state Assembly and Senate. But Lombardo, a Republican, has been known to exercise his veto power. He vetoed a record 75 bills passed during the 2023 legislative session. This year’s legislative session starts on February 3rd.
