Man Who Died in Officer-Involved Shooting Outside of Renown Medical Center Identified

(Reno, NV) — A man who died in an officer-involved shooting just outside of Reno’s Renown Medical Center has been identified by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office. Thirty-one-year-old Kupa’a Ke’a, a Sparks resident, was shot multiple times on February 9th. He died in the hospital last Saturday. Ke’a, a domestic violence suspect, was shot in the emergency room parking lot after leading police on a car chase. The shooting involved four Reno police officers, none of whom were injured.
