Man Who Tried to Stab Another Driver in Road Rage Incident Convicted

(Reno, NV) — A man accused of trying to stab another driver during a road rage incident in Reno has been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon. Sixty-two-year-old James Sperow was found guilty on Thursday, following a confrontation with a 24-year-old man who was hauling a trailer. Witness testimony and dashcam footage shows Sperow getting out of his car and running toward the victim’s open window with a knife. He then jumped into the window and tried to stab the man. The man slid out of the way, causing him to lose hold of the brake pedal and crash. Sperow faces up to six years in prison and will be sentenced on May 21st.
