(Carson City, NV) — Nevada is a step closer to becoming the third U.S. state that does not change time in the spring and fall. On Thursday, the Nevada Assembly passed the “Lock the Clock” bill. If fully passed, it would do away with springing forward and falling back an hour. The bill, authored by Democratic Assemblywoman Selena La Rue Hatch of Washoe County, now heads to the state Senate. If passed, Nevada would stay on permanent standard time year-round, starting in 2026.
