(Carson City, NV) — Thousands of people gathered outside of the Nevada Legislature in Carson City to protest President Trump and Governor Joe Lombardo. Saturday’s rally featured about four-thousand people protesting what they call authoritarian actions by President Trump. They also called out controversial remarks made by Governor Lombardo earlier this month. A speech he gave at the Republican party’s Lincoln Day Dinner on April 5th was secretly recorded. In it, Lombardo claimed people were paid to take part in protests, then used profanity toward his critics. He also criticized Democrats, calling them the party of “handouts,” despite supporting significant tax incentives for corporations like Tesla.
