[KOH] A dog on the freeway caused a three-vehicle crash yesterday. The Nevada State Police said around 5:30 p.m. a dog ran onto I-80 in the westbound lanes under the downtown interchange. One vehicle slowed for the dog and was hit from behind. A dump truck then hit that vehicle. Several people were taken to the hospital for treatment, the NSP said. One injury appeared serious but was not life-threatening. No word on the fate of the dog.
Two of the three lanes there were closed, but traffic was moving again by 7:30 p.m.
