Two people were sent to the hospital after an early morning stabbing in Deer Park. Around 1:15 a.m. Monday, Sparks Police, Sparks Fire, and REMSA were dispatched to the park on reports of a stabbing. After arriving on scene, police found two victims. Both were treated on scene before being taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Police were able to find the suspect, 22-year-old Christofer Rice, a short distance away. He was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the suspect and both victims knew each other. Rice was booked into the Washoe County Jail and is being held without bail.
