(Reno, NV) — The Pershing County Sheriff is criticizing thousands of Burning Man attendees, many of whom left their property behind in the mud. Sheriff Jerry Allen says the frustrated and angry “burners” were “not showing compassion to their fellow man” as fights broke out in the aftermath of the rain-soaked festival. Chaos ensued when some attendees were unwilling to wait and had to abandon their vehicles and property. Burning Man organizers are ultimately responsible for cleanup. Allen is also dismissing rumors of an Ebola outbreak at the festival, saying “there is no validity to any (such) reports.”
