An eight-year-old child is hospitalized with serious injuries after a dog attack in Dayton. Authorities say the child was bitten by a 50-pound Shar-Pei on Thursday afternoon, and was airlifted to Reno’s Renown Medical Center for treatment. The child is expected to survive. The dog was euthanized. Tests will be conducted to determine if the dog suffered from any infectious diseases that caused it to become aggressive.
