(Reno, NV) — The suspect in two shootings that left a total of eleven people injured in Reno and Sparks is scheduled to be back in court for a preliminary hearing in February. Nineteen-year-old Frank Hewitt made a brief court appearance on Wednesday. The status hearing lasted only three minutes. Hewitt is accused of shooting seven people at an apartment complex in northwest Reno in October of 2023. He is also accused of shooting four other people at the Sparks Marina in June of 2024. All of the victims survived. Hewitt is facing close to two-dozen felony charges connected with the shootings.
