MAN WHO KILLED 2 KIDS STILL FREE — A man who drove his car into a house, killing two young children, has pleaded not guilty after being charged with vehicular manslaughter by the Reno City Attorney’s Office. Reno police say 66-year-old Sheldon Berg of Reno was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter, and surrendered to Reno Municipal Court the same day. He made his plea and was released on his own recognizance without being booked into the Washoe County Jail. One provision of his release is that he is not allowed to drive until his trial date, which has not been set. If he is caught driving before then, he will be jailed.
