GARDNERVILLE MOM KILLED IN DISPUTE — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call with shots fired Tuesday at 1:30 am in the 1200 block of Manhattan Way in Gardnerville and found found 50-year-old Michelle Kozlowski dead in the street, reportedly shot by her 27-yr-old son Jarek Kozlowski. Deputies approached the house, and Jarek began shooting at the deputies.Officers shot the suspect, but he was able to flee the scene. Jarek was soon located and transported to the hospital with serious injuries: he is now being held for murder, and the investigation is ongoing.No deputies were injured.
