Someone posing as a property owner scammed a victim out of money to rent the home. Police say the victim found the Sparks home listed for rent on Craigslist, and talked with the person posing as the owner for nearly a month via email. The victim then wired the money to rent the property, but did not receive the keys and could not get the money back.  The victim talked to Sparks Police May 12th,  Police then talked to the actual property owner, who confirmed he did not place the Craigslist ad.
