The world’s biggest classic car event is the one and only Hot August Nights! The 31^st annual celebration of classic cars and rock-n-roll kicks off on Friday August 4^th in Virginia City, with the main event in Reno and Sparks staring Tuesday August 8^th  through Sunday the 13^th. Highlights this year include the daily Show-n-Shines, including the competition for the Hot August Nights Cup presented by Downtown Reno, plus Drag Races and Burnouts at the Nugget Casino-Resort, Autocross and Drifting at the Livestock Events Center, the Hot August Nights Auction presented by Motorsport Auction Group and new this year, the Vintage Trailer Revival at Rancho San Rafael Park. Of course the staple of Hot August Nights are the free nightly concerts featuring the unforgettable sounds of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The lineup includes Johnny Rivers, Rick Springfield, Pablo Cruise, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and tributes to Stevie Wonder, Journey, and Neil Diamond.
