The Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man wanted in connection with several burglaries in the Reno area. Special Operations detectives tracked down 35-year-old Timothy Trujillo of Reno on January 11th after a detective with the Sparks Police Department notified the Placer County Sheriff’s Office that Trujillo may be in the Roseville area. Detectives followed Trujillo to a parking lot, where they attempted to make contact with him. The Sheriff’s Office says Trujillo hit one of the detectives and ran off. He was caught shortly after and arrested for a Nevada State felony warrant. Detectives searched his car, and found methamphetamine, stolen property, and burglary tools. After further investigation, Trujillo was linked to burglaries in Placer County, in addition to the burglaries in Reno. Trujillo was booked at the South Placer jail where he remains in custody without bail.
