Crews gaining control of a wildfire that has broken out near Pyramid Lake. The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe says the fire is burning on SR-447 and is moving away from the highway. It is 98 percent contained.MORE

Three Juveniles Rescued From The Truckee River

Three juveniles were rescued from the Truckee River yesterday afternoon. The Sparks Fire Department responded to the river around 12:40 p.m. near Cottonwood Park. One of the juveniles was transported to the hospital as a precaution, the other two were treated on scene and released.MORE
